With the AXL 15 iGo pedestrian pallet truck, STILL takes a step forward in providing a response to one of the sector’s latest challenges : secure automation of goods flows entering and exiting loading docks.

Autonomous loading and unloading of trucks is a breakthrough in intralogistics.

The dock area is full of challenges : constant deadline pressure, shortage of qualified personnel, demanding working conditions day and night, and significant temperature variations. Added to this are physical constraints linked to restricted spaces, variable trailer geometries and very high safety requirements. While many internal processes like high bay storage, conveying or transfer is already automated, loading and unloading trucks remained until now the last complex link in the chain, considered difficult to automate on an industrial scale. Designed for loading and unloading trucks, the AXL 15 iGo autonomous pallet truck redefines efficiency at dock level.

30 pallets in 35 minutes
Its load capacity is up to 1,500 kg and its speed can reach 2 m/s. And tandem, two of these devices are capable of fully autonomously unloading up to 30 EPAL pallets into a trailer in just 35 minutes. Its real strength lies in its on-board intelligence : thanks to innovative localization and positioning technology, the AXL 15 iGo analyzes the environment of the trailer in real time to place the pallets with great precision. The solution does not require any additional security infrastructure, like fixed scanners or reflectors. This not only makes it flexible and quick to deploy, but also particularly profitable.
