On the occasion of his 2026 wishes, January 22, the president of Medef Réunion, Katy Hoarau, set out the vision, the direction and priorities of the employers’ organization for the coming year.
“Collectively build a more robust Reunion economy” : this is the course. « In 2026, together we choose a robust Reunion economy. A chosen robustness, thought and built, which helps reduce our vulnerabilities, to create sustainable value and provide prospects for local businesses. » Economic robustness, which is based on human wealth (entrepreneurs, salaries, SKILLS, youth), also relies on this unique strength of the territory : living together. “Our living together is not a slogan. It’s a collective skill. There is not a Reunionese who does not love Reunion. In a world where relationships, communication and cooperation become central, it is a real strategic advantage that we must structure, professionalize and transmit. »
A collective method of reflection and action
Reaffirming its role in economic and social dialogue, the employers' organization will notably continue the structuring of the COMEX 40, space intended to train young leaders to enable them to engage in economic and public debate. To act, Medef Réunion can rely on several “tools”. A think tank responsible for producing economic thinking anchored in local realities. An economic observatory to inform decisions. A commission of irritants intended to identify the blockages encountered by companies and to propose concrete solutions. This approach is also part of the dynamics of the SOCLE, movement initiated with the CPME, l'Adir, the FRBTP and the UMIH, which aims to bring together the economic forces of the territory around shared positions.
