Winner of a CES Innovation Award in 2023, the French start-up has developed a global innovation combining artificial intelligence, facial recognition and patented waterproofing system : the first intelligent cat food dispenser.
After five years of R&D and seven generations of prototypes, Yomy launched the robot in 2026 that makes food as easy to use as kibble. In a booming global pet tech market (estimated in 2024 at 12,7 billion dollars), feline wet food remained until now one of the last major technical challenges. Yomy is the first robot capable of automatically dispensing food hygienically, personalized and continuous throughout the day. It offers hybrid menus combining pâté and croquettes, based on four recipes validated by veterinary nutritionists. Each portion is adapted to the needs of the cat and frees owners from the constraints of handling, odor and cleaning.
How Yomy works ?
The robot combines a patented distribution system (heart of innovation, this system hermetically closes the pouch of pâté after each distribution), feline facial recognition (thanks to AI, the robot can recognize up to three cats), micro-meals adapted to the biological rhythm (Yomy works to the rhythm of the animal by detecting its presence), and a high precision weighing system(each portion is measured to the nearest gram).
