Air links re-established with Madagascar
Last July 30, a Madagascar Airlines ATR landed for the first time in five years at Hahaya airport, in Grande Comore, from Majunga. Interrupted since the 2020 health crisis, air links between the two countries had not been reactivated after the seizure and subsequent retention by the Comorian authorities of nearly 50 kilos of gold bars from Madagascar. The restitution of gold, in 2025, allowed the reestablishment of a Tananarive-Majunga-Moroni connection twice a week.
