It was on May 12 during the Bras-Panon agricultural fair that an agreement to structure the breadfruit sector was signed by the city., consular chambers, Adir and the Pro Vanille cooperative.

Around thirty farmers from Bras-Panon who volunteered to develop this crop received plants. In 2024 already, an agreement between the Chamber of Agriculture of French Polynesia and its counterpart in Reunion Island was created. It was then a matter of organizing the sending of vitro-breadfruit plants, which were then multiplied locally. The Tahitian variety chosen to develop Reunion production produces fruit after only two or three years., with a yield greater than 200 kilos per tree. It is announced the opening in Bras-Panon of a producer boutique intended to market these breadfruits.
