The audit of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC), completed on March 5, confirmed the compliance of Pierrefonds airport with the regulatory requirements in force for aviation safety and security.
In a logic of continuous improvement specific to airport operations, the audit identified areas for technical optimization which are already the subject of an action plan, comments the Pierrefonds Mixed Union (SMP). “This step taken allows us to consolidate the schedule for structuring the platform”, says the SMP, in great difficulty for several years due to the disappearance of regular commercial traffic affecting the southern airport. A “new economic model, focused on the diversification of activities and the project to revive the commercial air offer” was recently presented to national authorities, with the aim of ensuring the financial balance of the structure in the medium term.
