Pour ce 250ᵉ numéro, I wanted to highlight a brand that occupies a special place in my history : Café le Lion, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
I have known Café Le Lion since 1993, c’est-à-dire depuis les tout débuts de Meeting Leader. I remember Émile Jasmin, first factory manager I worked with, succeeded by Christian Pelissier then Gérard Gillet… and today Lucas Laravine, who embodies a new generation.
Over the years, the leaders have changed, the market has transformed but Café Le Lion is still there. Maybe that's it, the most moving in a brand : its ability to cross generations without losing its identity. This is why I have so much pleasure in putting Café le Lion at the forefront in this issue. Happy birthday for your 60 candles, Café le Lion !
Meeting Leader, on the other hand, fête son 250ᵉ numéro ! Also this return to school is very special for me. Thousands of meetings, hundreds of brands, companies that have grown, leaders who succeeded one another, generations that have changed… and for 33 years still this desire to tell the story of commerce, mass distribution, brands and those who bring them to life. For this birthday, I chose to take you into my memories through a file of almost 20 pages.
A necessarily very personal retrospective, since Leader Réunion is also a part of my professional life. I invite you to browse this return in my archives… and perhaps to find, through its pages, some faces, a few brands or souvenirs that also belong to you.
And because a back-to-school issue is an opportunity to look toward the future, I'll see you on October 8 for the five years of the StratCo Run congress, an adventure that I am happy to continue alongside my partners. In the program : exceptional guests, that I let you discover.
Until then, je vous souhaite à toutes et à tous une très belle rentrée…
Et surtout une bonne lecture !
