At the end of its general meeting of May 2, Bouftang, the union of video game professionals, elected its president : Florent Ferrere, the founder of Titang Studio, succeeds Arnaud Bru (Pixel Sunset Studio). He takes the helm of the organization under the sign of the development of the sector.
The new president intends to strengthen the internal organization of the union by further structuring its operation, notably through the establishment of thematic commissions. This development aims to better distribute responsibilities and promote collective dynamics.. The union will also continue its actions to structure and support the studios, with the organization of creative residencies intended to support low-budget but high-impact projects. And on the event level ? Existing actions will be strengthened. The Volcano Game Jam Junior will now be open to high schools while in a logic of broadening the territorial influence, Volcano Game Jam will be a major event in 2027, dedicated to promoting cultural and creative industries.

Florent Ferrere also wishes to consolidate institutional relations, in particular with the Réunion Region and the House of Cinema and Video Games, so that studios are better able to take into account the requirements of support systems. Finally, international opening will also constitute a strong axis, with participation in events such as Gamecamp and the implementation of visibility actions intended to promote local studios to international partners.
