From March 30 to April 1, Reunion has reached a new milestone in its international opening. For the first time, four start-ups from Reunion Island participated in ChangeNOW, one of the largest global events dedicated to environmental and social transitions, organized in Paris at the Grand Palais.

Every year, this meeting brings together more than 35,000 participants : entrepreneurs, investors, large companies, public decision-makers and media, around more than 1,000 impactful solutions. For three days, the objective is to bring about collaborations to accelerate the ecological transition. In this context, four Reunion companies were selected to represent the territory : Torskal Nanoscience, Flowly, Biofuel Réunion and Fetch Marine Environment. A recognition that salutes the quality and relevance of solutions developed locally at the intersection of environmental issues, scientific and technological. This presence marks an important step for the Reunion ecosystem. It is the result of collective mobilization carried out by La French Tech La Réunion, Digital Meeting, 4 Impact Studio, Réunion Innovation and the Réunion Region, committed to supporting start-ups towards business opportunities and strengthening their international visibility. This dynamic is also made possible thanks to the support of the airlines Air Austral and French bee., which facilitate the movement of entrepreneurs to France.

Four Reunion solutions

Torskal Nanoscience stands out for its work in green nanotechnologies applied to health, with the development of innovative treatments against certain cancers using medicinal plants. The start-up recently launched international clinical trials. Flowly supports territories in optimizing mobility through the analysis of transport data, contributing to more efficient and less emitting networks. Biofuel Réunion is part of the energy transition challenges by developing local alternatives to fossil fuels using local resources, like used cooking oils). Fetch Environnement Marin puts its expertise at the service of the knowledge and preservation of marine ecosystems, a particularly strategic issue for island territories.
