Ermelinda Freitas is a Portuguese family business with female leadership that has been dedicated to wine production for four generations. Wines from the Península de Setúbal region, enjoying a Mediterranean climate. Another discovery from Edena Boissons.

Edena Boissons enriches its alcohol portfolio with this brand which comes to us from Portugal, in mass distribution in the wine department. A very well-known house in Portugal which highlights a feminine wine story. Since the founding of the winery in 1920 by Leonilde Freitas, these are four generations of women who have passed on their know-how. Today the reindeer are in the hands of Leonor Freitas, fille d’Ermelinda Freitas, to whom the house owes its name. Signés Dona Ermelinda, these are first and foremost tasting wines, one red and one white. A dark red wine, with an aroma well combined with wood, rich in very ripe red fruits, dense, with very round tannins. A white wine with a fruity aroma, with notes of honey and tropical fruits, round in the mouth, with a good balance between acidity and woody notes. Another renowned duo from Casa Ermelinda Freitas, mature wines, with the intensity and aromas typical of the Mediterranean climate, of the Dona Ermelinda Reserve range, one red and one white. Also five everyday wines from Fazenda Velha. A ruby red, with fruity aroma and sweet tannins. A fruity and intense rosé on the palate. A white with a very fruity aroma reminiscent of exotic fruits, of a good structure. White and red also exist in soft versions. All these launches are accompanied by highlights, dedicated POS and tasting events in stores.
