Roland-Garros airport welcomed 2,764,811 local passengers (starting or ending their trip in Reunion), i.e. +4% compared to 2024.
Added to this are 60,871 transit passengers. (+13,9 %). Traffic distribution remains structured around three services : those of the metropolis (1,630,089 passengers, 59% you total, +4% in 2025), Indian Ocean (1,045,708 passengers, 38 %, +3 %) et de Bangkok (89,014 passengers, 3 %, +19 %). The latter market stands out for its above-average growth, just like South Africa (26,628 passengers, +14,2 %, even if the level of traffic before the health crisis has not been found) and Mayotte (216,193 passengers, +10,8 %), become a mini-hub for passengers coming from and going to the Comoros On the mainland-Reunion axis, progresses in terms of capacities offered and market shares. Mauritius, served by Air Austral and Air Mauritius, shows a more moderate evolution (663,323 passengers, +2 %) but remains the second most important line in airport traffic. As for traffic in Madagascar, it remained at an equivalent level in 2024 (137,602 passengers), affected by the political crisis in the Big Island in September and October. The airport company also confirms the opening of a Toulouse-Marseille-Réunion link., operated by Corsair from June 15, 2026. Discussions continue in parallel to create new regional and international connections, particularly towards Asia and Africa. Freight activity, for its part, increased by 5% to reach 30,699 tonnes in 2025.. Imports represent 71% of this total, at 21,778 tonnes (+7 %). It mainly concerns food products, plants as well as living animals. The dynamic was accentuated by cargo flights and operations linked to cyclones Chido in Mayotte and Garance in Reunion.. Exports (8,921 tonnes) remained stable, with a clear increase in shipments of lychees but a sharp decline in pineapples. Fish exports continue to grow towards international markets.
