After 15 months of implementation, 8,100 homes were built or rehabilitated in 2020 thanks to an investment of 215 million euros as part of the Overseas Housing Plan, rue Oudinot announced at the end of March. In the meeting, the construction and rehabilitation of nearly 3,300 social housing units were financed within this framework. 65 million euros have been committed by the State on the island to housing policy. The renovation of 800 homes was funded in 2020, to compare with less than 140 only in 2019. Ambitious industrial projects are emerging, particularly for the benefit of wooden constructive models”.
