The first Dionysian cable car line celebrated its first anniversary on March 15, in a euphoric atmosphere : Papang indeed transported 1,5 million travelers during its first year of operation, exceeding initial forecasts. Nearly three-quarters of its users are now subscribers, proof for Citalis that cable transport has become an almost daily habit for thousands of travelers. Most of them are young people, the line serving both the Moufia university campus and several high schools, including that of Bois-de-Nèfles. Cinor is currently working on the second line project, which must be built between downtown Saint-Denis and La Montagne. A group led by the French company MND has already been selected for its construction, but the final route is still the subject of discussion. Initially, Papang 2 was to connect the Vigie district, at The Mountain, at the west end of South Boulevard. Voices are now being raised to propose a terminus at the République car park and the Saint-Denis town hall, where the TCSP lines also arrive, and to consider an extension of the La Montagne line to Ruisseau Blanc.
