The Sin Pol Deck paves the way for the revival of Saint-Paul

The layout of the Sin Pol Deck was officially launched on August 30 by Jacques Tanguy, president of the Opale group, and Yannick Payet Fontaine, general director of Sedre, in the presence of the mayor of Saint-Paul and the president of the Réunion Region. These first real estate operations mark a new stage in the transformation of the entrance to the city of Saint-Paul.

Located opposite the Cimendef building, which now hosts the Conservatory with regional influence,and in the immediate vicinity of the bus station, the Deck Sin Pol will constitute a new urban complex combining shops, housing and services to the population. Supported by La Sedre and the City of Saint-Paul, it is part of the city’s urban renewal program. Its development is reflected in the launch of the first two major real estate operations carried out by the Opale group.. From the end of the year, construction sites will begin to create a new health and services center by the end of 2027 including a 2,440 m2 medical center, 1,600 m2 intended for public services and 26 housing units, as well as a new commercial center at the entrance to the city with the relocation of the Super U brand, shops, un food court. The development plans to create 750 parking spaces, including 300 public parking spaces.

A symbolic pedestrian walkway

From today, the public is invited to discover and take ownership of the new pedestrian walkway connecting existing facilities to future developments. This alley symbolizes committed urban renewal. Particular attention is paid to the environment of the developments with the planting of 208 trees and 7,000 shrubs. The project also includes 450 kWp of photovoltaics for self-consumption. These two operations represent a total investment amount of 60 million excluding tax., including 7 million excluding tax of developments carried out by Sedre for the city of Saint-Paul, 80% financed by the Réunion Region via the FEDER. The downtown urban renewal program is led by the City of Saint-Paul and La Sedre. It is structured around four poles : North town entrance, Centre, Waterfront and South Town Entrance. The Sin Pol Deck is one of the achievements of the northern city entrance center.
