This is the number of over-indebtedness files recorded in August 2025 by the commission of the Issuing Institute of Overseas Departments.
It's up to 22,8% compared to August 2024. 1,288 over-indebtedness files have been filed since the start of the year, an increase of 14,8% compared to 2024. Over a rolling year, the increase reaches 20%. In August, the number of files represented a ratio of 2,62 per 100,000 inhabitants, significantly higher than the national average (1,94). On the month, Reunion files represented 57% of all files filed in overseas departments.
