“Outside the Walls”, new franchise model of the Petite Académie

On the occasion of Franchise Expo Paris 2026, the first network of high-end art schools for children, teenagers and adults launches a variant ! This concept without commercial premises opens new perspectives to entrepreneurs while reinforcing the founding idea : make art accessible to as many people as possible.

It was founded in 1996 by the painter and designer Nathalie Virot. : the Petite Académie has become the first franchise network of leisure and artistic and cultural education in France. A network that stands out for its pedagogy inspired by the techniques and know-how of the great masters of art history. Its historical model, known as Gallery, welcomes children from 4 years old, as well as adolescents and adults in spaces dedicated to the practice of drawing, paint, sculpture, you manga, or even digital arts. Intended for cities with more than 80,000 inhabitants, this format combines courses, stages, exhibitions and shops, making each school a place of creation and local cultural life. The network now has 30 establishments in France. It shows annual growth of 15% and organizes more than 30,000 internships annually.. After the recent opening of its first international franchise in Fribourg, Switzerland, the brand is continuing its expansion strategy in France and abroad and developing concepts that can be adapted to all territories as well as all audiences. Since its creation, La Petite Académie has indeed been able to evolve its offering and multiply the formats : annual courses, holiday courses, creative birthdays, creation of tailor-made artistic events via its subsidiary My Art Event. This expertise has already attracted large companies like Orange, Leroy Merlin, Bouygues Immobilier, H&M or Eau Thermale Avène, confirming the network’s ability to address varied audiences.
