With 64,000 tonnes produced each year, Comté is the first cheese AOP in France. It now has its Favorite Brand of the French : Entremont, elected following an OpinionWay study in this category.
French Favorite Brand is a distinction that rewards a brand with a guarantee of quality and a level of recommendation by French consumers. Based on studies carried out by an external survey institute (OpinionWay) which compares all existing brands on the market, it rewards the favorite brand of the French in its category, i.e. the brand with the highest empathy rate on the market. Entremont placed in first place on the podium during a study carried out from September 24 to 29, 2025, from a representative sample of 1034 people from the French population aged 18 and over, in the “County” category. Entremont was also re-elected for the second time French Favorite Brand in the French Emmental category during the same study. For Franck Maugard, marketing manager at Entremont, “becoming the French favorite Comté brand rewards our constant efforts to offer a fruity and tasty Comté, produced in accordance with traditional know-how.
