Since December, D'AUCY displays the label on the origin of food products for all its offer of canned vegetables on its site. A first step before the display on its packs from March 2025.

The brand explains its adoption of the Public Origin’info label : “A committed approach which allows consumers to make the right choices on the shelves and to support French agriculture. » Member of the En Vérité collective since its creation, d’aucy has made transparency a hobby horse. Concretely, it is now possible to consult the Origin’Info label on the daucy.fr website for all of its canned vegetables (more than 90 products concerned). To complete the process, d’aucy has chosen one of the most complete versions of Origin’Info, indicating, beyond the origin of vegetables, their place of packaging. “d’aucy is a major player in the canned vegetables category, we therefore have a responsibility towards consumers, who have the right to know where the vegetables they eat every day come from : 85% of canned vegetables marketed under the d’aucy brand are grown in France, we must make it known in order to promote French sectors to support food sovereignty. We have therefore been working on the pragmatic development of Origin’Info for several months, alongside the En Vérité collective, public authorities and our interprofessional organizations. Origin’Info is a reliable label, relevant and clear for consumers. Its adoption on our site and soon on our packs is a new realization of our commitments in favor of transparency. We hope to be joined by the rest of the food industry, for a label serving consumers and our agriculture”, Silvia Rama explained, marketing director of d’aucy GMS France.

Transparency and agroecological transition

Following the online display already available, d’aucy plans to deploy Origin’Info from March, first on its new Bien Cultivés range in boxes, then in the spring on all its dried vegetables. The objective is to have the Origin’Info display on its entire offer by the end of 2025. The Origin’Info will therefore make its first appearance on the packs next month on the boxes of the new Bien Cultivés range. So far available in jars, Bien Cultivés d’aucy vegetables will now be available in boxes of a larger container on two everyday products : green beans and peas. On the Bien Cultivés and Bio Engagé ranges,5 cents per product purchased is donated to farmers to support them in their agroecological transition process.. A winning bet with already one million euros donated since the launch of the reversion in 2019.

Origin’Info, a government label

Launched in May 2024 by former Minister for Commerce Olivia Grégoire, this logo indicates on the packaging the origin of the main agricultural materials used in the composition of the product. It is based on the voluntary work of industrialists. Origin’Info is presented in three formats : a first with a list of the main agricultural materials of the product and their country of origin ; a second where the place where the product was transformed is added (figured by a small factory). In the third, a pie chart shows the relative share of each country in the composition of the product.
