Both located in the heart of Alsace, a few kilometers from each other, Massenez and Abtey share the same values : notably the desire to combine tradition and innovation. From this alliance is born this year a creation that is both refined and local : Golden Eight chocolates, marriage between the delicacy of Williams pear and the richness of cocoa. A collaboration that celebrates more than two centuries of cumulative know-how and the fruit of a heritage passed down by Alsatian families who knew how to combine tradition, creativity and artisanal excellence. Imagined by the Distillerie Massenez and shaped by the Chocolaterie Abtey, Golden Eight chocolates offer a special taste experience. Under a thin dark chocolate shell hides a flowing Golden Eight heart, liqueur made from a blend of Williams pear brandies aged for eight years. Each bite reveals a balance between the intensity of the cocoa and the fruity sweetness of the liqueur, in an elegant little pear shape : a nod to the fruit that gives birth to Golden Eight.
