After the success of the previous three, TotalEnergies launches a new edition of the Startupper of the year challenge, in 32 African and Indian Ocean countries.
This special edition organized as part of the centenary of the Total company will reward one hundred entrepreneurs, across the entire African continent and in the Indian Ocean. During the 2021-2022 edition in Reunion, TotalEnergies Marketing Réunion rewarded three young business creators : Isac Lefevre (Cultivation of vetiver Réunion), Nayer Ali-Mahomed (Drive along), Maude Kowalczyk (My Faith). Since 2015, 365 winners were rewarded and supported around the world, among more than 40,000 files received ! The new edition of the challenge kicked off on May 2. For this edition, TotalEnergies calls on project leaders aged 18 to 35 and with a business creation project or a start-up less than three years old, whatever the sector of activity. A local jury of experts, of people from the start-up world, of business managers, local sustainable development players and representatives of TotalEnergies Marketing Réunion, will select a winner for each category : « Innov’Up », best(e) entrepreneur(e) ; « Cycle’Up », best project concerning the circular economy ; « Power’Up », best project concerning sustainable and affordable energy.
Startup of the Year TotalEnergies
Four additional projects will be selected by an international jury in the “Power’Up” category.. All projects presented will be evaluated based on four criteria : response to sustainable development challenges, innovative character, feasibility and development potential, respect for equality between men and women and inclusion of women in the project. Each winner will become “Startupper of the year by TotalEnergies” and will benefit from a financial grant of €7,000., personalized support and communication to give visibility to your project. In addition, the winners will have the opportunity to fly the colors of their project during a celebration event, the details of which will be specified later.
