In addition to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Reunion bank, the year 2026 also marks the continuation of its modernization strategy with the launch of new offers and the development of innovative solutions.

After a transformation cycle which has ended, BFC teams are working to develop new digital tools. The bank will soon launch a 100% digital agency which will realize its modernization strategy. “It will offer a differentiated channel of access to our services for customers most looking for autonomy”, observe Ludovic Cailly, Managing Director of BFC. With the added advantage : proximity. Because online banking will not be completely disconnected from physical banking : if they wish, its clients will be able to benefit directly from all the expertise of digital advisors. What Ludovic Cailly summarizes by emphasizing : “At our place, there will always be someone to answer the phone. » It’s IT migration, which was the big subject of the BFC during the last four years, which allows it to accomplish this “technological leap”. “We are entering a new cycle by implementing cutting-edge digital solutions, externally for our clients and internally for our employees. Before the end of the year, remote banking services will be of the best standard on the market. By being faster and more efficient, we will further improve our strong point : customer satisfaction. »

A witness agency

Alongside digital, the BFC invests in people to develop ever more sophisticated skills and expertise, for both individual and business customers. And the role of its agencies is evolving. The bank plans to open its first new generation branch in 2027. It will be “a witness agency, close to Saint-Denis”, précise Ludovic Cailly. The reason ? Became more independent, customers travel and call less. However, direct human contact remains essential for important acts. (ready, placement, etc.). “We must therefore rethink the reception spaces, make them technologically more modern and focus them on expertise and advice, including for professionals, by bringing together skills. »

CSR, a source of modernity

During his speech at the bank's 50th anniversary evening, June 11, Ludovic Cailly highlighted the importance of CSR, in connection with the historical territorial anchoring of the establishment. So, the BFC actively participates in the training of young people by welcoming numerous apprentices, the vast majority of whom are hired each year (“We cannot talk about modernity without talking about youth”, relève Ludovic Cailly). The bank’s professional equality index between men and women stands at 99%., a stable figure for four years. Diversity and inclusion are fundamentals of management. Having carried out its carbon footprint, the BFC is continuing the decarbonization plan which has already enabled it to reduce its CO2 emissions by more than 40%. Finally, with staff aware of the issues of climate change, CSR permeates the service offering and customer relations with specialized advice and support, as well as “green” financial products. “We were falling behind technologically, we are now regaining control to get ahead in all the areas that prepare the bank of tomorrow”, conclut Ludovic Cailly.
