The regional joint commission of liberal professions (CPR-PL) was installed on November 17, 2021 by representatives of employee unions (CGT, FO, CFDT and CFTC) and the National Union of Liberal Professions (UNAPL). The latter, established in Reunion in February 2021 under the leadership of chartered accountant Abdoullah Lala, carried out this project allowing liberal professions in the living environment sectors, health, figures and the right to have a forum for dialogue with their employees. Jacques Bughon, general secretary of the CGTR, is the vice-president of the CPR-PL Réunion. Thanks to this joint commission, employees of liberal professions will be able to benefit from lunch vouchers and reduction cards, access cultural activities more easily, sports and social, like their counterparts from other companies in the private sector. The CPR-PL also has the ambition to promote the organization of training that meets the needs of liberal companies, particularly those who experience recruitment difficulties. According to UNAPL, liberal companies represent more than 40% of the 37,530 local businesses in Reunion and employ more than 13,000 employees.
