A Qatari hotel in Assomption
The Qatari company Assets Development Company was selected following a call for tenders by Island Development Company (IDC) to build a five-star hotel on the Seychelles island of Assomption. The latter is part of the Aldabra group, in the southwestern part of Seychelles territorial waters. With an area of 11 km², Assomption is located about forty kilometers south of the Aldabra atoll., listed as a UNESCO world heritage site since 1982 and which can be visited for the day by guests of the future ecotourism hotel.
Aeroflot strengthens its frequencies
Seychelles remains an accessible destination for Russian tourists, third in the ranking of arrivals by nationality after Germany and France since the start of the year. More than 25,000 Russians were counted in the first eight months of the year (+39% compared to 2022). They mainly take one of the two weekly flights operated by Aeroflot between Moscow and Mahé since last October. Due to the success of this line, the Russian company will add a frequency to its program from October 16, 2023.
