Launched a year ago in partnership with France Travail La Réunion and the Réunion Region, MyJobGlasses.re declined the concept of a regionalized professional meeting platform designed by the start-up Émilie Korchia. The Reunion system allowed 2,200 people to get closer to the professional world. Free and accessible to all, Myjobglasses stands out as an orientation tool, integration and professional retraining.

Accessible via the website www.myjobglasses.re and a free mobile application, the platform allows everyone – high school students, students, job seekers or people undergoing retraining – to meet volunteer professionals to interact with them, called “ambassadors”. These exchanges, in person, by telephone or videoconference, offer direct and human contact to discover a profession, understand a sector of activity and benefit from practical advice in the search for employment or internships. One year after its launch, the platform displays a balance of 2,200 registered Reunion Islanders, including 1,133 job seekers (i.e. 153 registrations on average per month). Its 395 currently active Reunion ambassadors represent 68 sectors of activity. MyJobGlasses enabled 1,690 appointments. The satisfaction rates are exceptional with 100% of beneficiaries and 98% of ambassadors declaring themselves satisfied “MyJobGlasses.re realizes our ambition to offer all Reunion Islanders the same chances of succeeding in their professional career., whatever their profile. Seeing a community so engaged and satisfied from the first year is a real source of pride.”, underlined Émilie Korchia, founder of the platform, during the presentation of its first results, September 8.

The MyJobGlasses dynamic

After a first phase targeting young people monitored by France Travail, the platform opened up to a wider audience, including self-employed job seekers, former executives, as well as pupils and students via the integration of high schools and universities. At France Travail, employment counselors, in addition to individual promotion of the platform, allowed job seekers to discover careers, courses by organizing collective workshops with inspiring ambassadors. “This innovative collaboration effectively complements public systems : it gives job seekers and young people in training direct access to local professionals, and therefore a better understanding of professions and opportunities”, comments Olivier Pelvoizin, director of France Travail in Reunion, himself ambassador myjobglasses.

Outlook for year 2

For its second year, MyJobGlasses.re intends to strengthen its network of ambassadors with the support of large groups such as Excellence, Ravate or Orange, already engaged in the adventure, but also thanks to the support of professional sectors. The year will also be marked by the establishment of new partnerships with schools and universities., training stakeholders, as well as associations working to promote local skills. Two associations are already partners : The Reunion at the Grandes Écoles and Return to Péï. Finally, the platform will contribute to the regional training and orientation strategy, with the objective of bringing together 700 ambassadors and supporting 4,200 beneficiaries in their professional journeys.
