The first KFC on the island opens its doors at the Port

The Port restaurant occupies a total surface area of ​​350 m². It has 80 seats indoors and around fifty outdoors.. A drive lane is planned for takeaway sales. Children can have fun in the play area located outside the restaurant. The restaurant is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to midnight and until 1 a.m. on weekends. Colonel Burger, Menus Box, Buckets, Pleasure, Desserts… “We are starting with a limited range which will develop over the months” explains Olivier Chong-Fah-Shen.

KFC Réunion has chosen to work with the local company Cogedal, which has obtained certification from KFC international, to provide flour, very present in the range of products offered. The vegetables for the burgers and salads also come from local production, thanks to a partnership signed with the company Tropilégumes. Same for restaurant drinks, produced by the Brasseries de Bourbon and Edena. The chicken, his, comes exclusively from France and Europe. Discussions are underway to imagine a local supply of chicken which could be linked to a KFC burger recipe.. 65 employees, including 90% from the Port, were recruited, with the help of the City, from the employment center, of the West Local Mission and associations. KFC Réunion wishes to promote proximity in its hiring. The opening of new restaurants in Saint-Pierre and Saint-André in the coming months is already scheduled.
