This is the growth rate of GDP in Reunion in 2025, according to a note from the Overseas Rapid Economic Accounts. It is higher than in 2024 (+0,5 %), and higher than the national growth rate (+0,8 %).
This increase was mainly driven by public administration spending. (+2,5 %) and by household consumption (+1,2 %), even if it declines despite the slowdown in inflation. The gross disposable income of all households nevertheless continues to grow in Reunion (+1,5% versus a decrease of 0,4% in France), under the effect of the increase in earned income and social benefits.
