A first slice of subsidy of 11,6 million euros was granted by the State for carrying out preliminary studies for the work of the second phase on the viaduct of the new Littoral road. This contribution is part of the Matigon III agreements, signed on March 16, 2022 by the Prime Minister and Huguette Bello, providing for a State participation of 420 million euros, i.e. almost half of the estimated cost of building a viaduct between La Grande Chaloupe and La Possession. March 31, the Permanent Commission of the Region also approved the payment, without acknowledgment of responsibility, of nearly 62,000 euros to VINCI Construction Grands Projets, following a request for additional remuneration from the latter for the large viaduct contract. Likewise, 10 million euros were paid to the same group in response to a request for additional remuneration on the market for clearing and backfilling the viaduct piers. These sums will help to cover all or part of what justice will force the Region to pay in response to the demands of the companies which built the NRL and estimate having borne several hundred million euros in additional costs..
