After the success of its first edition in December 2024, the CEO Summit Indian Ocean returns on April 9 and 10, 2026 in Antananarivo.
Driven by a renewed ambition, this summit intends to become a strategic meeting for economic decision-makers in the Indian Ocean region. Under the theme “New paradigm, new horizons – let’s dare to reinvent the future”, the second edition of the CEO Summit aims to continue the exchange of views to strengthen regional economic cooperation, to promote territorial know-how and promote access to the markets of the Indian Ocean islands and to markets outside the area. The prospect of moving towards “a regional common market” was raised by the president of the Madagascar industries union, I love Rasamimanana, during the presentation, at the headquarters of the regional economic agency La Réunion Développement, February 5, themes that will be addressed during this second summit. “Develop together and conquer other markets”, pleaded M.. Rasamimanana, who stressed that “other countries are interested in working with us”.
An impulse from the private sector
Like in 2024, the CEO Summit 2026 will be sponsored by the president of the Réunion Region, Huguette Bello. Without having an official character, this event is an opportunity to bring back into focus the still dormant ambition of co-development between the islands of the southwest of the Indian Ocean. “The COI is ready to take into account the ideas developed during this CEO Summit”, declared Edgard Razafindravahy, Secretary General of the Indian Ocean Commission. It is also a privileged meeting place for economic players. (business leaders, investors, experts) from the different participating countries, starting with Madagascar, Mauritius and Reunion. Like in 2024, the presence of 11 countries is expected this year. Interested entrepreneurs from Reunion Island have until March 31 to register, knowing that the number of places is limited to 650.
