On the occasion of its centenary, Brasserie Duyck presents two new beers distinguished by their aromatic palette and their mastery.
After a rich and flourishing year 2021, Jenlain is back in force with these two new references. These hoppy and traditional beers, created in limited edition, are a new expression of the know-how of the master brewer, Stéphane Choquet : Happy Blonde and Happy Ambrée. Available in supermarkets and wine merchant networks in 75 cl bottles. To create these two new recipes, a pico brasserie (a small-scale brewery) was specially set up. The latter allowed the brewmaster to test recipes to keep only the best. The “Happy Blonde” is, to begin with, a top fermentation beer, strong and fine at the same time which reveals all its character between 6 and 8 degrees. At the tasting, on the palate it reveals a delicate combination of cereals and hops which bring out flavors of wheat and grapefruit. “Happy Ambrée” is, as for her, a top-fermented amber beer, brewed from three different malts giving it powerful cereal aromas. Fine, raw and unfiltered, its richness is manifested between 6 and 8 degrees. Bread flavors, of caramel and coffee punctuated with an aniseed note from the bitterness of hops perfumes the palate.
100 years of brewing know-how
Brewer of ideas and beers for five generations, the family business is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Created in 1922, by Félix Duyck introduced to beer making by his father, she settled in the small village of Jenlain in Hauts-de-France near the Belgian border. From its beginnings, the Brewery stands out from its competitors with fine beers, unique and packaged in Champagne bottles. Now at the helm of Mathieu Duyck, it continues to develop, to modernize and reinvent itself over time to be today considered a reference in the French brewing landscape.
