The first steering committee of the Master Plan for charging infrastructures for electric vehicles (SDIRVE) was held on May 17 at the Cinor headquarters, in Saint-Denis. The document, which must be finalized at the end of 2023, aims to structure the charging offer for electric vehicles throughout the island, by meeting both the objectives of the multiannual energy programming (PPE) and the needs of institutions and communities. A partnership agreement was signed that day between Sidelec, the state, Ademe, l’AFD, the Réunion region, the Department and the five intermunicipalities to create regional dynamics and support electric mobility in Reunion Island. 1,700 charging stations should be installed from next year until 2028. The financing plan for this important investment remains to be developed.
