Omega 1, a state-of-the-art data center
“With the Omega 1 data center, Reunion Island is fortunate to have a very good tool.”, underlines Julien Mauras. Located in the town of Le Port and neighboring the Zeop headquarters, this data center, first of its level in our Indian Ocean region, was created by the Océinde group. With a capacity of approximately 120 computer bays, it is classified TIER 3 (classification assessing the degree of protection, supply performance and availability of data centers, which have four levels). Its energy efficiency indicator (PUE) is estimated at 1,38. A very good performance. Before accessing the computer bay, five checkpoints follow one another. Water being considered the number one danger, the building is unburied and protected by a sophisticated water detection system. Supervision technique, video surveillance and intrusion detection 24 hours a day, seven days a week, complete the security system.
