From April 1 to 3, 2025, The Development and Cyber Réunion meeting supported seven local cybersecurity players in Lille to participate in the 17th edition of the INCYBER Forum, main European meeting dedicated to cybersecurity. A new opportunity to deploy the banner of the territorial brand Reunion.
Exa si, Its, Sky, Sob, Youtell et Zeop, companies joined by the regional association of cybersecurity players CLUSIR-ROI : commenting on April 18 on their participation in the InCyber 2025 Forum, in the presence of the president of the La Réunion Développement agency, Pascal Plante, all underlined the interest of having been able to exhibit while benefiting from the collective dynamic created by the Réunion pavilion. Reunion's expertise in cybersecurity was thus able to be displayed thanks to this joint action by La Réunion Développement and Cyber Réunion., the cybersecurity center of Réunion THD. Every year, the InCyber Forum brings together key players in the sector : innovative companies, international experts, institutional representatives, state agencies, academic establishments and security forces. For businesses, it constitutes a strategic space to exhibit know-how and products, to debate current and future issues of digital trust and technological sovereignty, to discover the latest technological innovations. In this context, organized for the second consecutive year, a round table on cybersecurity in overseas territories was held on April 1. This meeting also contributed to demonstrating the level of innovation and development of the cyber-Reunion ecosystem.. On this occasion, Cyber Réunion also took stock of its actions and shared its strategic vision of cybersecurity in the Indian Ocean region..
Launch of the Youtell franchise
Reunion’s participation concretized the territorial approach of “Reunion, territory of digital trust”. It aroused attraction and a certain surprise to note the existence of a dynamic cybersecurity sector positioned to meet the cybersecurity needs of SMEs and VSEs.. This is how, for example, the Reunion cybersecurity company Youtell took advantage of the InCyber Forum to launch its franchise development project in other regions of France.. The other participants, wishing to develop in mainland France, made the Réunion pavilion a springboard for visibility and credibility. This participation illustrates the ambition of the Réunion Region, but also private players in the sector, to position Reunion Island as a valuable cybersecurity player in the Indian Ocean region, from Africa, of the metropolis and even in Europe.
A delegation gathered under the brand La Réunion
Under this banner, the Réunion Region shows its support for the development of a structured and high added value sector. By bringing together companies from the local ecosystem, supported by two public structures committed, the initiative illustrated collective mobilization in favor of innovation, digital sovereignty and the economic attractiveness of the territory supported by the Region. The InCyber Europe Forum is a step that heralds others. The digital sector committee of the Réunion Region has thus included in its projects and is working on the organization of a meeting of international dimension which would be held in Réunion around digital technology and cybersecurity within one to two years..
