The relaxation of interest rates to businesses marked a break in the 4th quarter of 2024 announces Iédom, Even if most rates are decreasing over one year, in the wake of the drop in guiding rates of the European Central Bank started in June 2024.
Most corporate credits rates increased in the last quarter of 2024. That of the new equipment credits increased by 11 base points between July and last October, at 4,48 %. However, it remains slightly lower than the average rate observed in October 2023. These credits are subscribed at fixed rate, for an average duration of almost six years and an average amount of 157,000 euros. The average interest rate of new real estate credits (3,89 %) is also on the rise, as well as that of the overdrafts. Only the rate of new cash drops down in the quarter and stands at 4,43 %, below the national average rate. Less than a fifth of these credits is subscribed at variable rate, for an average duration of more than three years.
