After having increased by 0,2% in November according to INSEE, the consumer price index remained stable in Reunion last December.
Prices of energy and manufactured goods have increased, those of services were maintained despite the seasonal jump in air transport prices. Those of food, for their part, fell, after stability in October and November. In one year (between December 2024 and December 2025), consumer prices on the island increased by 0,9 %. For the first time since the first quarter of 2021, they fall below the 1% mark. Reunionese inflation over one year is therefore close to the national level (+0,8 %).
