The consumer price index increased by 0,2% in Reunion last November, after stability in October and a drop of 0,7% in September, announces INSEE.
Over a year, between November 2024 and November 2025, consumer prices increased by 1,2% on the island. Local inflation is higher than the national average (+0,9 %). In November, the prices of manufactured products have started to rise again (+0,9 %), after two months of decline. Prices of services remained stable after an increase of 0,6% in October, transport prices have notably fallen by 8,6 %, thanks to the reduction in airfares. Food prices also remained stable, for the second consecutive month. The fall in prices of fresh produce continued (-0,8 %) while the prices of other food products increased by 0,2 %. Energy prices have finally fallen to 0,6 %, due to the fall in the prices of petroleum products (-0,9 %).
