Seasonal rentals generated more than 30 million euros in revenue in the first half of 2025 in the west of the island, according to a study by the microregional tourist office.
This figure is up 11% in one year, sign of undeniable dynamism. Between the first half of 2024 and 2025, the average income per dwelling increased from 69 euros to 76 euros, and the average daily rate displayed from almost 130 euros to 133 euros. The number of advertisements offering seasonal rentals also increased by 3,6% in one year, according to the study. The commune of Saint-Paul concentrates, without surprise, the majority of the supply in the West, particularly in the Saint-Gilles and Ermitage sectors, where the daily income per accommodation oscillates on average between 93 and 95 euros ; but it is in Trois-Bassins that the average daily displayed rate is the highest (167 euros), just like the average income per dwelling (almost 90 euros).
