AFPAR (Assistance with professional training for adults in Reunion) presented its new device at the end of August : « Alon ! », consisting of establishing third-party training locations in municipalities far from training centers.
Goal : remove the obstacles that still prevent RSA beneficiaries from accessing training or employment. “This orientation is also an extension of the recommendations of the regional chamber of accounts, who recognized the quality of AFPAR’s training offering and recommended its deployment across the island”, underlines the structure chaired by regional councilor Karine Nabénésa. “With this device, we are going to meet the Reunion Islanders, where they live, comments on the latter. Too often, kilometers become a hindrance to training. By bringing learning places closer to living places, we give everyone the opportunity to train”. The Region devotes nearly 1,2 million euros for the deployment of “Alon ! ».
During training, interns receive remuneration paid by the Region. The third places will be established in five municipalities : Saint-Leu, Saint-André, Saint Joseph, Saint-Louis and Saint-Benoît. More than 400 RSA beneficiaries will be supported in this context.
