Alain Baudry and Eric Ligeron, general director and commercial director of Groupama Océan Allemand, took the opportunity of the Bras-Panon fair to present the Granvillage Indian Ocean platform, a tool allowing Reunion agricultural producers to present their products directly to consumers, online. On this occasion they were accompanied by several farmer members including Joseph Avril, horticulturist in Le Tampon. Granvillage also helps improve the visibility of producers on search engines.. The platform includes a completely free component allowing the user to build their page and create their showcase in a few clicks to present their activity and reference it while benefiting from traffic statistics.. In its paid version, Granvillage also allows its products to be sold directly to the consumer via a “virtual marketplace” : the platform thus offers order control, deliveries and tools dedicated to online sales management. Launched in 2013, the Granvillage platform was until now a simple showcase. Groupama has decided to take the plunge into online sales due to consumers' growing attraction to short circuits.
