A decade after its debut, the Dina Morgabine group positions itself as a major player in the Reunion hotel industry with a unique model celebrating the Pei identity.
In ten years, Dina Morgabine has grown from one establishment to five hotels spread across the island : more than 250 employees in 2025 compared to a few dozen until March 2024. The group today operates Dina Morgabine Saint-Gilles (2015), the pioneering three-star hotel that launched the concept ; Dina Morgabine Saint-Denis (2020), first three-star “business lifestyle” hotel on the island ; Papangue Hotel in L’Étang-Salé (mars 2024), four-star hotel geared towards relaxation and accessible luxury ; Tweet-Tweet, hotel in La Plaine-des-Palmistes (avril 2024), four-star eco-responsible hotel in the heart of nature ; Doudou Hotel (mars 2025), four-star dedicated to couples, combining modernity and Creole art of living. A success all the more significant as the clientele is mainly from Reunion Island, thus validating Jean-Claude Boyer's initial bet, founder of the group. “Our ambition was to create establishments designed first and foremost for the people of Reunion Island., by promoting our culture”, underlines Jean-Claude Boyer.
Five new projects
The Reunion hotel group is planning five new structuring projects. Ambalaba, in Saint-Denis, a hybrid place mixing culture, restoration, events and original accommodation. Dina Morgabine Saint-Pierre and Maison Canonville, a four-star business hotel coupled with the heritage restoration of a historic site. Hotel des Thermes in Cilaos, high-end four-star hotels in the natural setting of the circus. The former RSMA of Hell-Bourg, a project in the heart of one of the “Most Beautiful Villages in France”. Et, from 2026, the major renovation of the Dina Morgabine Saint-Gilles for an upgrade based on a new architectural concept.
Paying hospitality, a brand
Beyond infrastructure, Dina Morgabine builds the “Morgabine” brand, country hospitality », signature of a Reunionese lifestyle. A loyalty program will be launched soon to strengthen the link with customers attached to this authenticity. The group’s development is based on solid partnerships, notably with the group Kin Siong, historical associate), the Réunion region (FEDER) and Ademe, as well as the excellence of its teams led by Kévin Minatchy, group executive head, and Mathieu Payet, head of Dina Morgabine Saint-Gilles.
