The Joint Waste Treatment Union of the North and East of Reunion Island (Sydney) received support from the French Development Agency on March 13 (AFD) to support its modernization and transformation plan.
The AFD will finance to the tune of 480,000 euros the mission of a design office aimed at “supporting the organizational transformation of the union by improving the efficiency of internal processes, by optimizing resource management and promoting innovation in collection practices, waste treatment and recovery”. Sydne plans 84 million euros of investments between 2025 and 2030. He must in particular bring about the project of new discharge of ultimate waste, that of Sainte-Suzanne managed by Suez arriving at saturation.
