A new president for the Export Club

A new page in the history of the Reunion Export Club opened on September 19, at the end of the annual general meeting which saw the election as president of Kelly Giroud-Animène succeeding Laurent Lemaitre.

This native of the Port, aged 45, worked for twenty years within a group of sports store brands, where she evolved from accountant to administrative and financial director. two years ago, she created her own company specializing in consulting for small and medium-sized organizations. Laurent Lemaitre, for his part, summarized his six years spent as president of the Club : “A great adventure, sometimes painful due to financing difficulties and the economic crisis to go through, particularly following the Covid period. Today the Export Club is financially stable and I am optimistic about the understanding of the benefits of export by Reunion companies.. More than ever, it is essential to organize ourselves to defend the particularity of our territory beyond borders, with a clear strategy. » The year 2024 was marked by the launch of the collaborative export group Intense emotion, which includes 10 agri-food companies setting out together to conquer the Belgian and Swiss markets. Focuses on the target markets of India and Ivory Coast, a prospecting mission to Rwanda as well as the preparation of a mission to the Comoros are on the Export Club's program until the end of the year.
