Operator in Sainte-Rose, Béatrice Duchemann-Donnay won the national innovation prize in the 2022-2023 agro-ecology trophy competition, during the International Agricultural Show. Installed since 2015 with her partner, it produces undergrowth vanilla, certified organic lychees and palm kernels, on a concession of 4,75 hectares allocated by the Coastal Conservatory. The regional jury accepted his file last December in view of his actions in favor of the environment, integrating the economic and social dimensions of agro-ecology. Béatrice Duchemann-Donnay and her companion stand out for their commitment to biodiversity, sharing knowledge with elders and economic security of the farm, with the production of products of recognized quality, aimed at niche markets.
