The connected health leader joins forces with Dr. Xavier Schneider, pharmacist in Alsace, to open the first health prevention corner in pharmacies. A first pilot project in a pharmacy in Alsace to launch new services.

Withings opens a new local channel in Alsace to offer its products to as many people as possible with the advice of the pharmacist. Pour Xavier Schneider, community pharmacist, trained in therapeutic patient education and holds a university degree in multidisciplinary teaching, connected health practice, “the community pharmacy, through its more than 20,000 local pharmacies, and its more than 50,000 doctors of pharmacy, you can, with and without appointment, more than five million French people per day for advice on their health. It is a fantastic vector for democratizing the use of connected health products, as part of health prevention and remote monitoring by a local health professional. The use of digital technology in health makes it possible to streamline the patient's health journey and improve their follow-up., in coordination with other health professionals in the area. As a community pharmacist, and as part of the development of new pharmacy services, it seemed natural to me to combine my thinking with that of Withings to build a new offer around a “health prevention corner”, combining pharmacist advice and connected health”.
A revolution in health prevention
With the support of the company OEC Pharma, Dr Schneider sets up a Withings corner in his “peripharmacy” space combining health prevention, advice interviews and pharmaceutical tele-monitoring at home in many areas, such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep and blood pressure monitoring, thus transforming the pharmacist and his colleagues into health assistants for the patient. The Withings range of products allows precise health monitoring that can be shared with the doctor in order to establish a complete diagnosis of possible diseases and anomalies.. ScanWatch smartwatches track physical activity, sleep and breathing disturbances. The Body Cardio and Body + connected scales provide access to data to better understand the body and its metabolism. The BPM Connect and BPM Core blood pressure monitors allow you to carry out a cardiovascular health check-up. The Thermo thermometer alerts on the temperature level depending on the user's age. The Sleep Analyzer sleep sensor, coupled with its Sleep Diary app functionality, analyzes and detects sleep disorders such as apnea or insomnia.
