The permanent commission of the Réunion Region voted at the end of November to implement a new regional system to support the production of social housing in the region..
The objective of this new intervention framework is to leverage to accelerate the exit from social housing, by exceptionally financing the residual deficit of public development operations supporting a social housing program. In total, 15 development operations will be supported, for an overall program of nearly 1,200 housing units, including around 850 social housing units. A specific envelope of 4 million euros is dedicated to this new system which is complementary to the participation of the Réunion Region in the Regional Land and Urban Development Fund (FRUF).
