The industry partner company, of commerce, of the hotel and catering industry in waste management is preparing to take a new step in 2026 : it aims to double its collection tonnage of heat-shrinkable plastics, locally recyclable, and launches the marketing of a standardized compost sold in bags which are themselves recycled.

Founded by Yann Waeffler, Proxicompost had as its first customer the Leader Price of La Possession. It was in 2021. Four years later, the company has established itself as an essential partner of some of the largest daily purveyors of organic and plastic waste, in the industry, big business, the hotel and catering industry. She brings them, on site, a structured collection service, in the form of precise sorting of waste into specific bins followed by cleaning of storage areas, then the removal and then the pre-treatment of waste on its premises in preparation for their recycling via Cycléa or SUEZ. Proxicompost also provides companies with equipment to facilitate waste management : for exemple, a versatile sorting table for recovering kitchen waste in restaurants, locally made, allowing you to do without trash bags. In addition, an offer of advice, analysis and training on waste issues, adapted to each actor, relies on local partners (AAI, Sicams).
Proxicompost thus appears as a committed company. It produces compost with organic waste and contributes to the local recovery of heat-shrinkable films by Bourbon Packaging.. These are these two pillars of the company, collection and recovery of organic waste and plastic waste, which are subject to new developments in 2026.
Doubling the volume of plastics collected
Proxicompost collects 15 tonnes of locally recycled heat-shrinkable plastics per year : colorless plastics serve as the basis for all films and colored ones are recycled for trash bags and mulch bags (mainly dark colored bags). The island deposit of this type of plastic is around 70 tonnes. The company sets a target of 25 to 30 tonnes collected from 2026, by strengthening its fleet of vans from 7 to 10 vehicles and making collection bins available to customers.
Marketing of compost
Proxicompost becomes a compost brand. The company has a stock of 250 tonnes of product. Perfectly homogeneous, this compost can be used as an amendment. It has the NFU 44051 standard, validated in local and metropolitan laboratories. Regular check-up, twice a year at least, on each production site, is implemented despite the significant cost of analyzes, of the order of €14,000 per year. Produced from food waste, and not green or agricultural waste, this compost is free of metallic traces and can even be used in organic farming. Several references will be sold in 10 L and 30 L bags, made from Big Bag envelopes. Manufacturing subcontracted to the Kaz association in ID, specialized in the recycling of used advertising tarpaulins. Proxicompost also imagines, in certain points of sale, a bulk sale for individuals who reused their bags. The listing of Proxicompost compost in DIY and gardening stores is underway. For large volumes, the compost will be delivered in Big Bag or in a 7 to 15 m3 bin.
Custom grinding at the customer's premises
Custom grinding at the customer's premises, with sorting at source of bins of ordinary industrial waste (BACK), is a new service that Proxicompost offers to companies having to manage large volumes of waste. Grinding significantly reduces the volume of DIBs, which can then be stored in Big Bags or Ecodi containers and no longer in skips. Apart from metals, the device can grind everything, and buy him I like it, hard plastics, wood, wooden beams, cellular concrete. With the implementation of sorting, materials will be better valued and processing costs, no longer subject to landfill pricing, will decrease. The impact will also be environmental, because it will be possible in certain cases to reduce skip rotations by more than 60%.
