After having increased by 0,7 % in December 2022, consumer prices fell by the same amount in January 2023, according to INSEE. Service prices decrease by 1,8 %, due to the reduction in prices for transport services. Energy prices are also falling (-1,5 %), due to the drop in prices of petroleum products. Conversely, the increase is confirmed for manufactured products (+0,4 %). In food, prices also continue to rise (+0,9 %), including those of fresh produce. Between January 2022 and January 2023, prices increased by 3,9% in Reunion, which is significantly less than in France (+6 %).
