In the meeting, which concentrates almost 40 % of overseas companies, 1,098 recovery or judicial liquidation procedures were recorded between April 1, 2024 and March 31, 2025, or 15,5 % more than a year before, according to Iédom.
The progress of failures nevertheless marks a slowdown for the fourth consecutive quarter. Across the entire Overseas Territories, Iédom notes an acceleration in the progression of business failures at the start of 2025 (+8,9 %), however less strong than at the national level (+12 %) and with contrasting situations from one territory to another. The growth of insolvencies is low in Martinique, important in Guadeloupe. In Guyana and Mayotte, the progression of failures is strong, but covers a small number of procedures. The latter, however, continue to decline in New Caledonia., under the effect of the economic support plan, very degraded.
