The Department of Reunion formalized on December 5 the signing of the charter of commitment of the Citizen Institute of Learning for Public Life (Icap).
“Icap has a clear ambition : build a permanent democracy, active and accessible to all Reunion Islanders”, indicates the community. ICAP will be organized around three schools. The Citizens’ School will offer conferences, debates, visits and meetings, as well as a support pathway for citizen project leaders. The School of Administration Professions will raise awareness of territorial civil service professions, prepare candidates for competitive exams, in collaboration with the University. The School of the Elect, apolitical and labeled Qualiopi, will finally offer a course for first-time elected officials and develop training adapted to the needs of communities.
