Average power consumption by subscriber on the island has increased from 3,56 megawatts/hour in 2020 at 3,54 MWh in 2021, according to the Réunion Energy Observatory. Calculated per capita, consumption is up slightly, going from 1,48 MWh in 2020 to 1,50 MWh in 2021. In a city, the average consumption per capita amounts to 2,2 MWh. The ratio of electricity consumption per inhabitant in Reunion Island is also the lowest of all non-interconnected areas. (la Corse, the other Doms, New Caledonia and French Polynesia).
