Doulux, specialized in the manufacture of household rollers, paper toilet, diapers and periodic protection, continues its modernization by renewing its range of Doulux toilet paper. An increase in quality enabled by an industrial investment program started in 2019.
In 2019, Doulux had rejuvenated its range of kitchen towels with, among other things, a unique offer of maxi-rolls in Reunion. This year, It’s the turn of the toilet paper (Scented, 4 thicknesses and Compact) to follow the path of renewal. New embossings improve the aesthetics of products. The essences of the scented papers are guaranteed hypoallergenic, and maxi-rollers appear. All tri-ply toilet paper (most requested) have since this month been sold in maxi-rolls without compaction. Or twice as many sheets per roll, reduced purchasing frequency and less packaging plastic and cardboard (roller tubes) per kilo of paper. This development is accompanied by a redesign of the packaging on the toilet paper and paper towel ranges.. The new Doulux color code is blue for the toilet paper family and yellow for the kitchen towel family.. It displays the Reunionese identity of the brand. Because Doulux may well be over 40 years old, part of its clientele continues to think that it is a metropolitan brand made locally. Doulux is therefore once again on the attack to remind people that its products are designed and manufactured in Reunion.. The blue and yellow colors serve as a background for a series of drawings of Reunion landscapes on the packaging of the packs. On the shelves, these colors distinguish Doulux more clearly from imported products. Complementary color bands, specific to each product, helps the consumer recognize them. Product information is also improved, clearer and more readable thanks to symbols (leaf size, number of leaves, 3 more, biodegradable, etc.).
Gain in productivity and quality
Doulux has been renewing its industrial tools for several years. It was first of all the printing equipment which made it possible to produce more and faster and to diversify the decorations on the papers.. More recently, it is the automation of the packaging of all products. An ultra-modern packaging machine memorizes the format settings of the different packs of kitchen towels and general public toilet paper. No need to adjust each format manually. In continuation of the packaging, palletizing, restrictive and repetitive task, is now carried out by a robot. The storage of different references is considerably facilitated and accelerated.. Another industrial tool paves the way for the development of professional customers (the “outside home” of sanitary paper). The new pro chain integrates manufacturing and packaging. Result of all these investments : a general productivity gain which allows the company to continue its increase in quality while optimizing its production costs, that is to say without increasing its prices.
Doulux Baby
Doulux is launching a brand of diapers in the coming months intended for the pharmacy circuit : Doulux Baby. This is a specificity of the local market compared to the mainland : pharmacies represent 40% of diaper sales. To convince, Doulux focuses on a guaranteed hypoallergenic product, tested by an independent laboratory in mainland France, a very attractive price, as well as brand awareness. In this market, Doulux already offers in supermarkets the Cabriol brand which has been in the price-quality shield since the start of the system. Please note that Doulux Baby and Cabriol diapers are the only diapers manufactured in Réu-nion and are marked Noulafé.
